Experience

My name is Andis Riekstins.

I am a financier with a background in economics. I have always been interested in business situations related to creating or developing something. Any business decision can be calculated and modeled to check whether an entrepreneur’s inner intentions align with the desired outcome. Likewise, financial calculations often contain the answers to questions such as why things are the way they are and what should be done next. To solve a problem, an outside perspective is necessary. Usually, a problem cannot be solved from within it. And this is exactly what I do best – a view from the outside.

For more than 20 years, I have been involved in solving various business situations. Doubling the turnover of a manufacturing company, merging dairy cooperatives and developing port terminals are just some of the projects I have worked on.

I have attracted financing for 30+ projects and guided companies through rapid growth. This diverse experience allows me to quickly identify the situation and offer solutions that really work.

Production

Packaging equipment manufacturing and export. As CEO of SIA Scandivac from 2016 to 2019, I built a team that increased turnover by more than 100% and production capacity by more than 3 times.

Ports

Port construction. Creating a development plan and financial modeling of various development scenarios for the largest mineral fertilizer transshipment terminal in the Baltic Sea.

Trade

Development of the concept and financing of a corporate gifts and printed goods trading platform.

Financial activities

Over 20 years, financing has been attracted for the implementation of more than 30 different projects.

Partnership

Establishment of SIA Latvijas Piens. Merging several milk production cooperatives to establish a common milk processing company.

Banking Activities

Experience in both leading the sales team of the largest leasing company in Latvia and developing the development strategy and attracting financing for the leading agricultural lending service provider SIA AgroCredit Latvia.
